20th November 2003 Other: Dahab Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Sniorkeling Having got more used to the swimming with while breathing through a bent straw I decided to venture out to the outside reef with my snorkeling gear Just getting out the reef is an adventure it involves walking up along the beach then wading across the lagoon between the kite surfing area and the windsurfing area then walking across the spit. Once in the water on the outside reef it was amazing! was just like the tv prgrams there was so many fish and the colours of the fish and the coral was fantastic. Had one scary momment not sure if it was an eel or a sea snake but it got a little too close Got some good views on why you shouldn't land on the edge of the reef when sailing too huge spinny normans (sea urchins with spinnes the size of pencils) not nice to stand on ! Best snorkeling so far |
